Salim Kumar's Double Role  At last, Salim Kumar also gets a chance to be in double role. Eventhough he has acted in more than 150 films, he never got a chance to be in a double role. Luckily, it happens in "Happy Husbands'. Scripted by Krishna Poojappura, Salim Kumar will be accompanied by Jayaram, Indrajith and Jayasoorya in this film. His double role being Sathyapaalan, a cardiologist and Dharmapaalan, a Resort owner based at Bangkok. Surprisingly, Salim kumar has a brother named Dharmapaalan. Eventhough the script writer was unaware of this fact, Salim Kumar is quite happy to be in this double role which carries his brothers name. |

'Drona' started  Shaji Kailas' 'Drona' has started shoot last week. Megastar Mammootty will be in the main role, Swetha Vijay and Kaniha as heroines to him. Scripted by A.K.Sajan, Drona is one which Shaji Kailas and Mammootty join together with a long interval, nearly 2 years. 'The Truth', 'Valiyettan', 'The King', were super hits. Meanwhile, 'Raghupathy Raghava Raja Ram', another Shaji Kailas film with Prithvi Raj handling the key role which is under shoot, will restart only after the completion of 'Drona. Nadirsha's new role  Nadirsha, the comedian, mimicry artist, story writer, singer, musician is going to direct a cinema for the first time . His close friend and member of their earlier mimics group will do the leading role in this film. Nadirsha has also started writing the scripts for this movie. 'Bodyguard' by December 1st week.  'Bodyguard' starring Dileep and Nayanthara will get to theatres by the fist week of December this year. This film was earlier decided to release during the Vishu season. Somehow, the movie could not reach for release during that season. Eventhough this Siddique film was finally scheduled as a Christmas release, again it was preponed to get a decent acceptance and to avaoid clash with Mammootty's 'Chattambinad', Mohanlal's 'Ivide Svargamaanu', and Vijay's 'Vettaikkaran'. 'Bodyguard' is produced by Johny Sagarika. According to reports, this film will be released in 100 centres covering the whole of Kerala before other Christmas releases comes. |

Mani C Kappan returns to Cinema world.  Produced turned director Mani C Kappan has decided to be back to call for shots in movies. He is going to direct for a film scripted by Rajan Kiriyath. This yet to be titled film will be having Jayaram as hero. Other details about the film are not yet known. Mani C Kappan as a producer and director was successful in his carrier. His 'Mannar Mathai Speaking' was his last film. He then joined politics and was one of the state level leaders of N.C.P, led by K. Karunakaran's son Muralidharan. Also was a candidate in the Pathanamthitta constituency during the last election. |

'Janakan' Lal's 1st movie of 2010  'Janakan' will Mohanlal's first movie to release in 2010. This film is directed by debutant N.R. Sanjeev. Earlier it was planned to release in Novermber, this year. Ashirwad release will be distributing this picture to theatres. Suresh Gopi is also be having an important role in 'Janakan'. On the otherhand, Mohanlal's "Alexander the Great' is under shoot at Trivandrum to finish the remaining parts. This film is being directed by Murali Nagavalli. |

'vellaanakalude Naadu' to Hindi  Priyan has remade about a dozen of Malayalam films to Hindi. That may be reason to brand him as a remake director. Hera Pheri, Kulchul, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiya, Bhagam Bhag are some of them. But he has enough number of good films in Malayalam and also in Hindi which was not remade. 'Kanchivaram' which won national awards not a remake film. Right now, Priyan is back to his favourites again by planning to remake 1989 hit 'Vellaanakalude Naadu' to Hindi which was written by Shreenivasan in Malayalam. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumaar will be the hero. Trisha who was waiting for an entry to Bollywood will also be in this Hindi remake. This film is tittled 'Khatta Meetha' in Hindi. |

Pazhassi Raja bags 10 Crores.  The mega movie 'Pazhassi Raja' has accumulated ten croes by its 26 days run from Kerala. This surprise collection is the highest ever collection for a Malayalam film from this much short period. The Tamil version has also released by 20 th. About 100 prints were released. As Sharath Kumar is one among the known stars of Tamil, a decent collection is expected from there also. Sharath is one of the leading stars of 'Pazhassi Raja'. The Telungu version will be ready to release by the mid of December, as detailed by Gokulam Films. |
