Siyad Kokker has been chosen as the President of the Kerala Film chamber of Commerce at its annual general meeting held here. Mudra Sasi and Vasantharajan were elected as Vice Presidents, M A George as General Secretary, Kaliyur Sasi and Anil V Thomas as Secretary and Abdul Aziz as treasurer. |

One more association formed in Malayalam cinema

Yet another artist's association is formed in Malayalam. An association of movie directors named 'Filmmaker's Forum For Better Films' was inaugurated by Shyam Benegal. Lenin Rajendran is the Chairman and Sasi Paravoor the Secretary of the association. The forum also intends to launch a TV channel to broadcast good movies. For this purpose, a company Atom Broadcasting Corporation with a capital of five crores, has been setup - said Sasi. |

Now Mohanlal also loses face in posters

Earlier there was news that Mammootty's face was torn away from posters of his new movie Pranchiyettan and the Saint. Now Mohanlal's face also got cut off from the posters of Shikaar. It is not just Mohanlal and Mammootty who has lost their faces in the posters. Siby Malayil's face from the Apoorvaragam posters and that of Meera Jasmine from Pattinte Palazhi posters also were found to be torn. Film Chamber as well as the fans associations has condemned the action. |

Manoj and Maithili pair's rain dance.

The video picturisation for the music album MazhaNritham was taken with Manoj K Jayan and Maithili dancing together drenched in rain. The shooting of the cinematic song video Mazhayil Nin Mozhi Njan Kettathilla was shot in and around Athirappalli waterfalls and forests. The music video has nine beautiful songs.

Pranchiyettan posters destroyed

The posters of the Ranjith's Pranchiyettan and the Saint had Mammootty's face torn out in many places in Kochi. 40 flex boards of Pranchiyettan had been posted all over Kochi. Mammootty's face was cut off from about twenty five of these posters. Mammootty Fans Association said that those who tore the posters had some hidden agenda. Producers Association has lodged a complaint with the police. The movie produced by Ranjith under the banner of Capitol Cinema, will be released on september 10th.

Mohanlal in double role again - Talkies

After a long interval Mohanlal plays the role of father as well as son in the movie Talkies directed by Shajoon Karyal. The story is about Ravindran Nair who runs the only movie theatre Kamala Talkies in a remote village Ramanthuruthu. He also plays the role of Ravindran Nair's father living in Singapore. S Suresh Babu writes the script. Mohanlal had earlier played the father-son characters in the movies Uncle Bun, Ravanaprabhu and Udayon.

Mammootty-Mohanlal in "Arakkallan Mukkakkallan"

The superstars of Malayalam cinema Mammootty and Mohanlal comes together again in the movie Arakkallan Mukkakkallan. This comedy thriller produced by Mammootty's Playhouse is planned for 2011 Onam. The popular scriptwriter duo UdayKrishna-Siby K Thomas tries their hand at direction in this movie. They hope to repeat the success of Mammootty-Lal superhits Harikrishnans and Twenty20. They had written the scripts for multistar movies Twenty20, Pokkiriraja and Christian Brothers.
